01 About

I'm Manas, a software engineer who enjoys building products that solve real-world problems — from large-scale backend systems to AI-powered tools.

At Delta, I work on systems that process real-time airline data, including baggage, flight, and passenger events. My work involves connecting backend services, business logic, and user interfaces to help operations teams get the information they need quickly and reliably.

Previously, I built dealership software at DealerSocket (Solera) and worked on a financial platform at Wipro. These experiences have helped me grow as a full-stack engineer, working across frontend applications, backend services, and cloud infrastructure.

More recently, I've been exploring how AI agents can make complex workflows simpler. One example is bag-triage-mcp, an MCP-based project that helps investigate baggage-related issues by bringing log analysis into a conversational workflow — making it easier to find answers without hours of manual searching.

I'm always looking for opportunities to build reliable software, explore emerging technologies, and turn complex technical challenges into practical solutions.

  1. Sep 2024 — Present

Full Stack Developer · Delta Airlines, Bangalore

    • Implemented an event-driven workflow on AWS MSK (Kafka) with Java Quarkus, consuming Bag, Flight and Passenger events and persisting results for downstream operations.
    • Built Baggage Manager, a real-time app wiring AWS AppSync to Kinesis streams to show every bag at a station alongside live flight status.
    • Engineered multi-region failover for AppSync and API Gateway between us-east-1 and us-west-2 so baggage services stay up during regional outages.
    • Developed the Baggage Manager UI in Angular 19 with GraphQL subscriptions; monitored and tuned services with CloudWatch, Lambda and DynamoDB.

  2. Aug 2022 — Sep 2024

Full Stack Developer · DealerSocket (Solera), Bangalore

    • Engineered a Spring Boot integration for Toyota enabling dynamic UI and service interaction.
    • Built the "Store Closed Days" Angular grid with Java CRUD controllers so sales teams could manage dealership closures themselves.
    • Developed a desking component of the salesperson dashboard in React and TypeScript on a concurrent Spring Boot backend.
    • Star of the Month, May and September 2023.

  3. Jul 2021 — Aug 2022

Full Stack Developer · Wipro, Bangalore

    • Enhanced a financial platform with Angular, TypeScript and Spring Boot: dynamic UI components for real-time data and MongoDB stored procedures to client spec.

Baggage Manager

Live view of every bag at a station

Operations dashboard that streams bag and flight events through Kinesis into AWS AppSync, pushing live updates to an Angular 19 UI over GraphQL subscriptions. Built with multi-region failover so the screen stays live even if a whole AWS region goes dark.

Bag & Flight Event Pipeline

Kafka workflow on Quarkus

Consumers on AWS MSK that ingest bag, flight and passenger events, apply business rules, and persist the outcome for downstream systems. The backbone that Baggage Manager and bag-triage-mcp both read from.

Disease Prediction System

University project

Web app that predicts likely diseases from symptoms using a neural network combined with fuzzy logic, with a Bootstrap and jQuery front end on a MySQL database.
